Often functions as charge nurse. Leadership: Active member in several unit committees, to include both Wound Care Committee and Nurses’ Social Committee. As a Wound Care Committee representative, responsible for attending monthly meetings and conducting wound audits. Responsible for educating unit staff on proper wound care. Interpersonal skills: Compassionate and empathetic toward patients and their families. Emphasize the involvement of patients and family members in the planning of care. Ensure that patients and family members receive the proper education regarding care.
