The Company was failing: revenues declining, high employee turnover, uncompetitive product. We successfully revitalized, reorganized, and turned around the company within a year by rebuilding the executive team, improving employee morale, reducing staff turn-over, and driving process change to every department of the company.

Reversed a 20% negative revenue trend, achieved consistent YoY growth within first year of hiring, tripling revenue from $3.5M to $10.5M, achieving 10% CAGR and increasing market share - with little additional staff.

Reached positive cash flow and EBITDA; returned $6M in dividends to corporate shareholders in last five years.

Generated more than $90M revenues by converting sales model from direct to indirect. Negotiated and signed major deals with IBM, BMC, Dell, Perot Data Systems, scores of resellers, international distributors, and MSPs. Channel partners rapidly expanded enterprise customers from 70 customers in 9 countries to over 525 customers in 50 countries.

This company had zero measurable growth for 12 years. I was hired to provide expertise in business development. I did this by reconnecting, vetting, and – in some cases - disconnecting the historical partners, while engaging new partners. In June, 2018, the angel investor withdrew funds and company downsized to ‘founder mode’.

Resurrected dormant partner channel. Increased prospect pipeline from $0 to $1.2M and 2 opportunities to 30 in 2 months.

Restructured and negotiated better legal agreements and activities energizing and motivating partners and the company.

Proficiency, Inc., Marlborough, MA Jerusalem, Israel(2000-2004)

Vice President of Worldwide Marketing

Multinational startup designer of CAD/CAM interoperability software for multiple industries. 100+ employees.

This two-year old Israeli-based company had yet to release a product, had no roadmap to do so, and was running out of funding. I wrote the business plan and VC roadshow presentation to raise $25M in funding teamed with the CEO, and drove the roadmap for the first release.

Established company as industry “thought leader” in the first year. Quickly built $4M pipeline to drive new revenue.

Personally identified and closed the company’s first two major deals: one in Switzerland ($400K) one in Italy (EUR 1.2M).

Gradient Technologies, Marlborough, MA (1999-2000)

Vice President of Marketing

$8M provider of distributed computing services and security software. 50+ employees.

Company revenues had stagnated, and their market was disappearing. I was brought on to reposition the company from a distributed computing infrastructure company to a security company, with the goal to be acquired. 15 months later it was.

Accomplished: company recognized as #2 market player in security middleware; won numerous awards, industry visibility.

Company was acquired at a valuation of $46M, up from just $8M eighteen months before.
