Provides in-depth assessments to those in-patient and out-patient. Review current and past medical and surgical history. Prepare patient for procedure or surgery. Provide education to patient and family. Also, collects and interprets clinical data including vital signs, lab results, and treatment progression. Provides care and maintenance of life sustaining devices such as central lines, peripheral line, arterial lines and artificial airways. Titration of continuous IV drips and medication administration. Monitor venticulostomy and lumbar drains, cranial bolts, external fixator and pace makers (internal, venous, transdermal). Conducts continuous cardiac monitoring, arrhythmia recognition and interventions. Maintain continuous Renal Replacement Therapy. Effectively collaborates with multi-disciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care. Facilitates communication with patients, physicians, and families.
