Assisted cardiologist during transesophageal echocardiograms (to include pre-ablation and Trans-Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), obtaining 3D/4D imaging as necessary to evaluate valve morphology and appropriate sizing of prosthetic valve. Conducted carotid, transcranial, upper/lower extremity arterial/venous duplex, aorta/mesenteric and renal ultrasounds. Adhered to established protocols and guidelines, deviating as necessary to provide the most thorough examination.

As the Manager of Cardiopulmonary Laboratory Services at Luke Air Force Base, AZ from 1994 – 1999, supervised a diverse department which provided diagnostic and therapeutic services in cardiology, pulmonary function, and respiratory therapy. Developed and implemented training and certification programs for all related procedures. Designed an Arterial Blood Gas Procedure Manual, listing maintenance/calibration requirements, equipment capabilities/limitations, and blood gas sampling techniques. Researched and implemented echocardiographic capabilities, saving the military $120,000 in the first year. As a member of the Critical Care Committee, updated management and physicians on respiratory and cardiology capabilities.
