Achievements/Experience:

Start-Up experience as Operations Manager on two DC’s from mid thru final phase plus two DC’s from just four walls to up and functioning Distribution Center. Facilities ranged in size from 900,000 to 1.2 million square feet.

Manage inbound functions, concentrating on flow from drayage to storage racks. Partnered with IT Dept to modify inbound processes to provide check/balances for increased accuracy, quality, productivity and accountability.

Managed all phases of outbound functions from small direct to customer orders, to million dollar orders, being shipped direct to businesses and stores, both domestic and international.

Distribution processes have included ecommerce (DTC), business to business, and store replenishment.

Trained QA teams to perform inspections and rework. Justified an Inbound Quality Auditor to inspect deliveries and who increased vendor compliance recovery from $120,000 in 2009, to $2.25 mil in 2011 and 2012.

Managed store pull back of window hardware to determine correct sku to return to stock and assess quality of product as first or second quality including damaged merchandise.

Experienced Trainer utilizing ‘Train-The-Trainer’ on electric pallet jack, fork lift, reach lift, order picker and VNA swing reach.

Initiated processes to report all damaged goods unloaded at the dock to corporate import / customs department to successfully recover duties paid in a Duty Drawback program. Duty Drawback increased from $200,000 to $800,000 reimbursed to the company per year.

Successfully increased picking productivity by 28% (84 to 108 units) through consolidation and reduced travel path. Labor reduction saved $100,000/year. Put away and Replenishment departments experienced a 15% improvement in tasks completed, saving $40,000/yr.

Experience in pharmaceutical distribution where we instilled a clean, sanitary work environment according to FDA Guidelines which included the daily recording of Lot numbers and Expiration dates.

Initiated and implemented modifications to inbound functions from Florida, New York, Scotland, and Ireland to ‘At Once’ Receipts for cost savings of $300,000 per year.
