Technical Project Coordinator - Change Management

Kaiser Permanente Data Center Refresh Project

As a Change Coordinator on Kaiser Permanente’s “Operating System Network Refresh” (OSNR) Program Initiative. The primary objective of the engagement was to manage KP’s network IOS code refresh by performing CRQ change management and communications support for CRQ change requests. The scope of the effort was to “uplift” approximately 800 CISCO network devices\IOS Operating systems (Catalyst 5750’s, Nexus 5548’s and Nexus 6001’s) in all of KP’s national data centers to Current/Plan-of-Record (POR). My duties included but not limited to:

Create Schedule of CRQ changes based on location and prioritization of devices, using a risk adverse methodology of crawl/ walk/ run. Create CRQ and approve, as well as, manage change bridge during change. Send out notifications to application owners;

Ensure agreed Request for Change (RFC) are entered correctly in the Change Control System

Organize Change Advisory Board Meetings (CAB), ensure agenda is issued to stakeholders

Review, monitor and communicate the progress and final outcome of changes to all relevant parties;

Ensure a back-out plan is in evidence and has been considered within the overall implementation plan to minimize impact to service availability;

Ensure that full approval is granted prior to implementing changes and ensure change related documentation is completed and updated;

Technical Project Manager

Part of a team of PMs responsible for deploying new servers nationally within Wells Fargo Data Centers and branch offices in the USA and Abroad. Deploying between 20 to 100 server deployments and Tech Refreshes a month.
