Career Summary: I would welcome the opportunity to use my experience and skills as a patient advocate and leader of my peers to assure quality ongoing healthcare and quality nurse education and practice. Working with the Geriatric/ Alzheimer/ Dementia and General Community seems an obvious conclusion to my career.

I have accomplished much in my 47 years of nursing. I presently work as a home health nurse in the community. My assessment skills are excellent and advocating for the patient is important to me as is stewardship for appropriate care. I taught nursing for 20 years, producing many nurses that are now peers in the community. I worked or taught in clinical areas from obstetrics to psych, pediatrics, geriatrics and acute care and taught as an online instructor for a RN to BSN program. I have been integral in achieving regulatory accreditation and curriculum revision as well as ongoing course facilitation and student and faculty mentoring. I assisted in the attainment of faculty, curriculum and cooperative meetings to assure education is meeting the global needs of the nursing profession. In addition to teaching, I keep my critical thinking, clinical skills current by remaining an active clinician and a preceptor for home health employers.
