I was hired to take over maintenance and update plant systems, increase through put of dairy,
And other products. injectionHaving been very successful in pint operation, taking production from approximately 14,000-16,000 a day to over 175,000 + a day. These improvements included Molding operations, PLC and HMI programming, robotic palletizing, vision checking systems.
Worked with Red Diamond Tea to set up a tea brewing operation that will produce 30,000 gallon of tea a day, again with PLC automation. Another area that we worked in was the addition of Yogurt processing, being able to process 20,000+gallons a day. All of this also included upgrading of electrical, refrigeration, heating, systems of plant. This included replacement of boilers, ammonia compressors, main transformer and switch gear. Also in charge PSM for plant along with EHS and IDEM, and EPA reporting. Also was recognized by Energize Indiana for the implantation of power factor correction equipment, and the uses of VFDs in almost all pumping and conveying systems though out plant. We also expanded cooler facility by 19,000 square feet during this time. Set up 5S throughout plant and started continuous improvement prodigals.

While at Majestic I was instrumental in development of new equipment, i.e. automated pipe machine, this includes mechanical, electrical, and SLC programming of this multi-million dollar equipment. I also was in charge of bringing in three large mechanical presses and up-grading there control systems. Trained in 6 Sigma to implement continuous improvement objectives. Worked with the 14 maintenance personnel on training and up-grading their diagnostic skills. I was involved in implementing the move to Datastream MP2 maintenance management system. We were able to reduce downtime by 25% and increase production efficiency by over 30% I was responsible for bringing electrical systems in plant up to date, automating feed systems to punch presses automate press controls, diagnose machine malfunctions, direct maintenance employees on machine repairs. The variety of equipment included Bliss, Niagara, CCI, Aida punch presses, Lakewood, Lockformer roll-forming, Hurco, Cincinnati, Chicago, Pirana press breaks, Murata, Finn-power, Amada turret presses. I’m competent in programming Rockwell RS Logics, DeviceNet, RS Networx, Micologix, Powerflex motor and system controls. Also I can program Giddings-Lewis DSM controls, Cutler-Hammer controls, Gould Modicon, and Rexroth Indramat controls.

At BRC I was incharge of all maintenance activies and training 8 maintenance employees for compression and injection rubber molded products. I was instrumental in improving operations of large number of centrally powered hydraulic BTR compression molding presses. This included redesigning distribution and accumulation systems for these presses. I also worked on improvement of operation of 300 ton Rutil, and 200 ton Rep, screw injection presses. I started the instrumentation of Datastream Maintanit for inventory control and preventive maintenance operations for plant. In the short time I was there we had reduced downtime by a substantial amount.
