PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

2002 - 2009: English Teacher, for primary, secondary and high school students. 2

2009 - 2013: Worked as a designer, templates' creator and assembler for a private factory where there were made benches, lamps, chandeliers and other products made of aluminum.

2013 - 2015: Self-employed; Craftsman.

2015 – Present day: Reception Assistant, five stars resort, Meliá Hotels International, Cayo Coco, Ciego de Avila, Cuba.

HIGHLIGHTED SKILLS:

a) Languages: 4

Spanish (first language), English (fluid). French and Italian elementary. b) As a result of my studies of Industrial design, I am familiar with 3D computer designing, which allowed me, among others, to produce templates for aluminum fundition and the required wooden moulds. These contributed to my carpentry skills. Hence I can also work in assembling parts of appliances. c) Also familiar with techniques in the use of epoxy resin, I can produce attractive hand crafted objects, for instance lamps, coffee and dining room tables, and plastic car parts.

d) I do have some knowledge in hardware and software in informatics, so I can independently joint computer parts, fix them to work, etc. Familiar with downloading of programs and apps. I have also done advertisement by uploading graphic designs made by myself such as logotypes and promotions.

e) Other knowledge and experiences gained on the day to day life include basics on plumbing, electricity, painting and finishing of surfaces and masonry in general. f) Whilst employee in the tourism industry I have developed skills to work with the public such as: always greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, engage each guest as a unique individual and listen attentively to their requests, answer the telephone in a timely and professional manner, listen to guest’s complaints or concerns and resolve their issue in due time. My personality and sense of 3

responsibility allowed me to anticipate and address guest’s service needs and promote a safe working environment for both guests and co-workers. I practice safe working habits, including appropriately bending and lifting weights such as suitcases or others to avoid injuring myself and reporting any hazards in advance to avoid harm to any guest or co-workers. I perform any additional tasks which are assigned to me by the management, understanding the importance that they may have in accomplishing every day’s objectives. I like keeping my work area neat and tidy and also take care of my uniform and personal appearance. PERSONAL:

From the employment point of view I confidently define myself as a hardworking man. I fully understand the concept of team work, as a best way to accomplish plans and objectives of the workplace. Easily adaptable, I have no difficulties in feeling at ease in new work environments. I have excellent manual skills and can be very efficient at solving problems. I continuously challenge myself to become better as a professional and also as a person.
