Cy-Laser America is a manufacturer and supplier of fiber-optic laser cutting systems and welding systems based out of Italy with sites in Europe, USA, Canada and Mexico. Cy-laser’s founder Mr. Livio Campana is the entrepreneur engineer of the fiber-laser system that is used widely around the world. As a Field Service Engineer my duties include traveling to various manufacturing sites in the USA to assist in installations of fiber-optic laser cutting system machines. On call to travel to various Cy-Laser client manufacturing sites in the USA for hardware repairs and hardware service maintenance programs. I would assist and train Cy-Laser client’s operators in proper operation of laser cutting systems hardware and software interface and demonstrate maintenance routines for optimal use of laser systems. On site liaison communications with manufacturing client’s management and CAD programmers to track production performance so as to correct and or match the clients projected production quotas of the fiber-laser machines. Throughout on site service calls, I would be in communication with Cy-Laser management in USA and Italy for appointment on site duties, support, orders, and appointment completion. I often received proprietary CAD software training and hardware training via internet and on site by CY-laser management. I worked with IGP Photonics Fiber laser systems and software and nLight Fiber laser corona systems and software on various Cy-Laser system machines. The following are some detailed duties as a Field Service Engineer and systems I encountered in my daily work: On call to a changing schedule and adjusting accordingly to go on site to repair/monitor CY-Laser Fiber Laser systems using various hand tools, powered tools, multi-meters, calibration tools such as micrometer and digital-calipers, precise cleaning of optical lenses and laser head assembly and trouble shooting, use of calibration of laser head torch and motor units, nLight fiber optic-cable laser quartz head microscope and software to clean and examine quartz head for laser, rewiring of laser cabling from laser generator to PLC system in laser machine, Install and trouble shoot large and small Chase Chiller systems, VFD drive trouble shooting, hydraulic motor pump, manifold and systems repair and maintenance, pneumatic systems and hoses repair and maintenance, light curtain repair, magnet-field sensor repair and install, industrial Air Filtering systems connected to laser system machine, industrial air compressor operation, oxygen and nitrogen generating systems monitoring and connecting, trouble shooting various PLC systems and wiring using multi-meters and software, electro mechanical industrial scraper and conveyor systems repair, large hydraulic table repair and trouble shooting of various connected sensors, connecting of high voltage wiring, PLC/sensors, PLC/electrical cabinets fuses, electrical breakers, electrical relays, Ethernet cabling, Video camera, Numeric Control PC trouble shooting and repair, use of electrical schematics and diagrams of main and peripheral equipment for connection. Ocado is a Robotics tech company based out of the UK that works with grocery companies such as Kroger in the United States to enable on time home deliveries ordered via the internet. As a Robotics Maintenance Engineer at Ocado my duties include repair/monitor of Ocado's proprietary robots using various hand tools, powered tools, multimeters, laptop computer to ssh/telnet into bot using Linux commands for diagnostic testing the bot components and software flashing, use Fix CMMS and Ocado web based software for bot repair/parts tracking, reference Ocado web based bot repair SOP-documentation when needed. Repair and monitor via SCADA Ocado's peripheral equipment located on multi floor levels sectioned through out the facility, these handle sorting/product moving were Kroger employees work, also maintain robot product moving interactions at peripheral equipment. The peripheral equipment includes PLC systems, pneumatic systems, electro mechanical conveyor and elevator systems, various sensors and SCADA integrated PLC/sensors, PLC/electrical cabinets, pneumatic elevator lifting chutes that handle totes and robots hoist tote interactions, extensive tote conveyer sensor laden systems through out the facility. Documentation is done thru CMMS Fix software, Ocado web portal engineering maintenance applications and Google suite apps. At times fill-in as a Robot Operator. These duties were to monitor robots on the grid that are interacting with peripheral equipment via Ocado web based software, real time video tracking when needed, radio based communications feedback with team engineers for problem notification, ssh/telnet into bot with linux commands to resolve issues or bring bots back for repairs if possible.
