My responsibilities included addressing customer telecommunication requests, implementing structure cabling solutions, estimating, and staffing, and completing overall scopes of work. I have a proven history of successfully managing complex projects and delivering results, and I am confident in my ability to take on new challenges and exceed expectations.
TECHNICAL WORK EXPERIENCE
Classified Infrastructure Engineer
Industry: IT Technology
I am experienced in assisting senior-level teams with technical building projects and managing network technicians. Additionally, I excel in pre-sale service analysis, defining the end-to-end service solution, and preparing proposals. I have successfully performed these duties for Securigence LLC (2021 – 2024), Cedelis LLC (2019 – 2021), General Dynamics MS LLC (2015 - 2019), and Wyle LLC (2009 - 2015).
Senior Operations Manager
Industry: Construction/Telecommunications
I led a senior-level team in planning and executing large, complex, highly technical projects. My responsibilities also include setting operational objectives and managing a group of technicians with a span of control ranging from 30 to 60 personnel. As a leader, I provided guidance and support to my team to achieve company and market objectives by collaborating with internal and external organizations. I helped the organization meet or exceed goals through a combination of tactical and managerial initiatives. Additionally, I conducted service pre-sale analysis, defining the end-to-end service solution, and preparing proposals, customer clarifications, and contract negotiations. I analyzed the customer’s service requirements and helped to prepare and submit commercially competitive service proposals. These services were performed for Vortech LLC., Beltsville, Maryland during the period 2003- 2009.
Commercial Construction Estimator
Industry: Construction/Telecommunications
I have generated estimates for deliverables and developed accurate conceptual cost models that consider construction methods, productivity, equipment, systems, and materials. I have updated the estimates with current material and labor prices, including any escalation, and maintained good relationships with subcontractors and material vendors. I have also reconciled estimates with consultants and the design team, creating a well-documented scope of work assumptions. I take a disciplined and well-organized approach to my work, and I am flexible enough to assist other disciplines beyond my primary responsibilities in estimating. These duties were performed supporting ENCOMPASS, Beltsville, Maryland.
Lead Telecommunications Technician
Industry: Construction/Telecommunication
My job involved designing, installing, terminating, and maintaining telecommunications systems. I was responsible for moving and removing telecommunications equipment and cross-connects, including vertical and horizontal connections, outside copper cable connections, and miscellaneous applications such as loudspeaker PA system cabling, voice equipment, and multi-mode and single-mode fiber optic connections.
In addition, I also maintained, moved, and removed data-grade cross-connections, including category 3, 4, and 5 UTP facilities, type 1 STP facilities, fiber optic backbone networks, coax facilities, LAN component installation, various printer networks, modems, conduit installations, and other miscellaneous data communications equipment.
I started as a basic cable technician, and as I gained more knowledge and demonstrated technical skills, my responsibilities, and job function increased to become a lead telecommunications technician. I have performed these functions for several companies including COMMERCIAL AIR POWER AND CABLE, TECHNI-CABLE, and GROUP MAC.
