I worked as a live-in caretaker for a woman with a terminal brain disease that is similar to dementia. Companionship and light housekeeping was also a part of my duties. As time moved on it became a situation where I was caring for her while she was bedbound and unable to move on her own or communicate with us other than a few spontaneous utterances here and there.
