I am an accomplished professional with 33 years of facilities maintenance, telecommunication services, public works liaison, and emergency facility repairs experience. I provide building and occupant services consistent with the tenant’s mission and negotiated service levels. For what amounts to nearly 3 decades, I have supported the men and women comprising the Navy’s logistics infrastructure in metropolitan San Diego as their building facility manager.

Following the announced disestablishment of Naval Supply Systems Command Global Logistics Support (NAVSUP GLS) in June 2017, I had to find a suitable position. I was selected by NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego (FLCSD), to fill a very similar position with FLCSD as I had performed for the last seven years with NAVSUP GLS. My specialized experience includes coordination of facility services, facility projects, telecommunication services, administrative services, key control manager, telephone control manager, and maintenance services in support of NAVSUP GLS. I currently oversee the facilities maintenance for the Navy Broadway Complex, Pt Loma Fuel Farm, North Island, Naval Station 32nd ST.
Key Skills and Attributes
Facility Services: I oversaw and managed facilities for Buildings. Exercised control and responsibility over these facilities to ensure necessary maintenance, repairs, alterations, or modifications were accomplished for the facility, installed equipment, and mechanical systems, and grounds.
Developed and implemented an annual and long-range maintenance program with emphasis on preventive maintenance. Inspected facilities to determine state of repair and coordinated and scheduled critical repairs, maintenance, and custodial services.
I directed the day to day building management operations including the initiation of work orders. Gathered information to ensure the scope of the work was properly identified on the work order.
Responsible for reviewing all work orders to ensure work was completed properly and within the time frames identified. Monitored all trouble calls and repairs.
FEC Emergency Services: Coordinated and owned responsibility for initial request for and completion of all necessary emergent services.
Communications: I interact with all levels of personnel through positive reinforcement. I provide detailed customer service at various levels of the Department of Defense (DOD) and Non DOD agencies such as facilities maintenance and issues, phone communication issues, furniture moves, and any other administrative issues that may arise.
Key Control Manger: Maintain the key control for my areas of responsibility, including the back-up for the building. Worked with Public Works to ensure duplication of keys was done only when appropriate and maintained the master keys for the building and office spaces.
Telephone Control Manager: - Maintained the phones, billing reconciliation with service provider, service calls, land line repairs, installation of new phone lines, transfer and moves of phones and voice mail setup for the agency.
ERP Purchase Requisition (PR) Creator: I created all PRs that relate to facility oversight in Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (Navy ERP). Knowledgeable of outgoing NAVCOMPT 2275/2276s Request for Work Services and Contractual Services. Prepared work requests to ensure NAVFAC Job Order Numbers (JON) was established each year for recurring services. Maintained billing reports and review to ensure bills have been charged properly.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Developed SOPs to support the facilities management and telephone communication services.
Open Obligations: Review pending final PRs and ensured all funds were properly charged and any available funds pulled back prior to year end in September.
Compliance: I have extensive knowledge of terminology and trade requirements as applied to the FEC Emergency Shop and facilities projects. Knowledgeable in NAVSUP GLS/FLC San Diego organization policies and strategic mission requirements. Extensive knowledge of facilities work scheduling job sequencing and trade needs in order to effectively interprets work scope, conditions and urgency.
Leadership: I oversaw all facility projects and personnel to meet mission requirements. One of my main duties is to ensure facility projects are properly managed and kept on track. I oversee Navy Public Work Teams to ensure all work is completed in a timely manner, and assist when needed to ensure the job is completed on time.
Independent Operations: Another principle trait is capacity to work independently and provide status reports to my Supervisor. If any issues arise, I assess and solve the issues.

I have routinely been singled out by my supervisor for performance awards. During my tenure I enjoyed recognition on multiple occasions for special acts and on-the spot awards. These are all in addition to annual ratings based awards for performance as documented in my appraisals.
