PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

230 kV Transmission Project Materials Manager-GA

Was responsible for receiving materials into a leased yard; near Cobb, Ga. All materials except for the concrete poles were brought into this yard. I was responsible for the management of the materials, and keeping counts on inventory for any shortages. Did this for the concrete pole materials; which were delivered with the poles in the field. This job also had salvage trailers in the yard, and I was the contact for pick up and delivery of those materials to the vendor. We initiated a check out process for the contractors taking materials out of the yard, by placing a mailbox at the gate with a mailbox hung onto the fence for ease of completing and weather protection. The job is currently on the end, bringing materials to a yard, that MEAG has near Cordele, Ga. A major clean up taking place at the same time.

Field Inspector / Work Order Auditor- FL

The way to the Georgia border and west to Lake City area on the north end. The work orders the first 4 years were a combination of Hardening and Construction and Maintenance work.

It was in my last year that my responsibilities went to Const. and Maintenance

Construction Manager – Field Inspector – GA

Construction Manager for Seminole Electric Cooperative. One 50 mile rebuild of a 230kV line and a 20 mile rebuild of a 69kV line.

Field Inspector on several Georgia Power projects of rebuilding static, and pole replacement scopes.

Assisted with evaluation reports and cost estimates for line segment improvements. Reviewed over forty 69kV circuits with Pepco Holdings Inc. employees from maintenance to Vegetation Management.

Assisted with distribution underbuilt improvements and specification development for FPUC

SME (Subject Matter Expert) for the FPL distribution hardening projects.

Senior Engineer - FL

Staff support for various transmission line design projects.

Performed field data collection, site review follow-up, and job cost estimates.

Transmission Line Maintenance Specialist – WI

Responsible for the asset management of the Western Portfolio. It included budget development of all maintenance tasks related to transmission lines in an area with over 3000 miles of lines that varied in voltage from 69kV to 345kV.

Coordinated line crews from both the contributing utilities and from contract crews in restoration and construction of maintenance projects.

Active representative from his company on several EPRI Task Force Committees. His personal specialties with this organization were “Hot Line Maintenance” and the “NESC”.

Field Representative – WI

Field representative for over 14 years.

Performed field staking of lines, compiling construction contracts, and final inspection on these same projects.

Performed Work Order Inspections for several clients for their RUS funding qualifications.

Responsible for “staking seminars” for state agencies of the RUS in WI, IA, and MI.

Engineering Tech IV - FL

Construction contractor oversight for both Transmission and Distribution line of work.

Responsible for beginning the first pole restoration and inspection program for the municipal system. It included the contract for an outside contractor to do the pole inspection and then take those results and have crews restore or replace as required.

Involved with the contract for line vegetation management program.

Technical Administrator - MO – FL

Performed field inventories, final inspections, and construction management, along with office design calculations for both Transmission and Distribution projects.

Supported a very large project in the Florida Keys and performed various assignments in SC, TX, and AK.
