My career began with two years in tax and accounting roles after completing my Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting in May of 1986 – followed by more than 25 years in the insurance industry, supporting sales teams, developing new agents, and building and servicing a book of business. Following are the various roles I’ve held: Bankers Life & Casualty – September 1999 to February 2017 West Des Moines, Iowa

• Regional Development Manager – September 2012 to February 2017 o Invited to leverage years of sales experience to help train new agents to be successful with Bankers.

o Organized schedule, planned logistics and executed new agent success program (3-4 days) each week for multiple Branch Sales Offices in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Michigan, North Carolina, Tennessee and California.

o Delivered the in-person new agent training program called Centralized New Agent Success (CNAS) using interactive learning, as well as electronic formats, such as WebEx and Zoom, teaching groups of adult learners (agents) in Bankers Life Sales Process, including four main product lines. Focused on key sales techniques expected to be successful in the Bankers process. Led and debriefed role plays to achieve effective adult learning.

o Interacted with and provided feedback to branch and regional senior management about class progress and likelihood to succeed as well as coordinated all communication with branch administrators on class lists, locations, expenses, etc. o Ensured compliant completion of training and managed all compliance paperwork, certification process for new agents.

o Completed Hoopis Performance Network training to become Certified Manager and Coach.

• Career Agent – September 1999 to September 2012

o Consulted with clients about insurance needs, delivered options and completed sales of Individual, Life, Health, and Annuity products to meet the customers’ needs. o Delivered policies, handled customer service for my clients. o Managed all prospecting for my book of business, utilizing various prospecting tools. o Compliantly met customer needs and followed all processes as outlined by the Bankers sales process and guidelines.
