·Consult and coordinate with health care members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plan

•Provide exceptional care to critically ill ICU patients.

•Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and needs of critically ill patients

·Monitor and care for post-op patients, initiate and monitor continuous IV pain and sedation

medications. Initiate and maintain DVT prophylaxis, follow procedure to prevent VAP and other

hospitalization related conditions.

·Initiate and titrate Vasoactive drips, monitor cardiac output, arterial BP and CVP. Review post-op

orders and implement as ordered.

·Utilize insulin drip protocols to care for DKA and HHS and other continuous insulin dependent conditions

·Care for patients post-op STEMI, Stents placement, GI surgeries, and those in hypertensive crisis.

·Identify new onset cardiac rhythm changes and intervene as appropriate • Assess for early signs of sepsis and care of septic patients

·Care for overdose and suicide patients.

·Assess patient’s pain levels and sedations, and implement sedation vacation.

·Conduct pulmonary assessments to identify abnormal respiratory patterns or breathing sounds that indicate problems. Assist physicians with procedures such as bronchoscopy, endoscopy, endotracheal intubation, PICC lines and central line insertion, and emergent chest tubes insertion. Respond to life-saving situations, using nursing standards and protocols for treatment through BLS and ACLS for prompt control of changed in patient’s physical condition.
