• Handles and makes decisions regarding daily operational activities relating to services in portfolio, data preparation services, to ensure they comply with operational procedures.

• Handles staff referrals, exceptional customer enquiries and irregular cases regarding portfolio in accordance with service standards of standard chartered bank.

• Handles correspondence to and from customers, department and branch staff to ensure resolution of customer transactions.

Check technicalities on cheques before processing.

• Issuing 0f BOG drafts on realizing credit in the Bank of Ghana account and swift issued on realizing credits in the suspense account.

• Pay customers in good time on receipt of settlement from paying banks. (i.e BOG draft or swift payment)

• Returning all cheques that could not be paid to originating banks in good time and tracers sent to other banks to track payment of cheques which have overstayed.

• Realize funds on receipt of payment and customers’ accounts credited in good time. C) Item Processing of Standard Chartered Bank – (Posting Unit)

• Receive and capturing of vouchers in the system

• Ensuring vouchers are captured and printed in good time

• Ensuring vouchers in batches are authorized and balance before being processed.

• Ensuring batch summaries are signed off and making sure all batches have complete batch headers with reference number.
