YDFM Atlanta, Georgia August 2002 – February 2005

Software Engineer

Responsible for systems interface and integration. This involved data transfer between IBM 4690 controllers, using IBM Register Software and customized Supermarket Application Management software.

Responsible for IBM iSeries, AS/400 using RPG III, IV, CL and SQL languages with Buyers Management Software and MAPICS to insured nightly batch transfer and extrapolation of all register information.

Configured 85 wireless ISHIDA scales using ISHIDA PC software with TCP/IP protocols.

Project managed the transference of 70 wireless phones to Voice over IP system, using Cisco routers and Cisco access points to connect phones and wireless scales. Responsible for ATM systems for DUPKTA compliancy. This VISA mandated change involved replacing and reprogramming 75 ATM pads to accept 32-bit encryption.

Responsible for all upgrades, maintenance and performance of the AS/400. Project managed and implemented the fiber optic backup redundancy system. Responsible for all electronic Government and State reporting information systems. Responsible for A/P, A/R, Inventory and Payroll year-end reporting systems.

Responsible for IT procurements which included system and user peripherals.

Genelco Inc Marietta, Georgia April 1999 - January 2002

Client Support Division. Performed client customization, modifications and upgrades using RPG III and IV programming tools. This involved client interface, to meet requests for new file structures, programs and menu options.

Performed RPG III to RPG IV conversions and modification for clients requiring the latest Release/Version of Genelco software. This involved identifying client customizations to base system and converting old code to RPG IV.

Supported new insurance products and services. Used ALDON change management system to insure proper change management deployment and release.

Aided in the development of interface systems for client software.

Implemented new floor Plan and configured devices at new location. Aided in the setup of the Cisco router and frame relay communication systems.

Replaced workstation with PC’s. Re-networked stations using IBM’s Client Access with TCP/IP protocols.

ING - Life of Georgia Atlanta, Georgia December 1995 – September 1998

Software Engineer

Sole developer and designer of re-engineering entire AS/400 software and hardware system to meet the needs of this Financial institution. Installed PC's and provided remote connectivity to AS/400.

Redesigned and re-engineered backup processes, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Check Writing, and all batch processes.

Cleaned up data and developed programs to ensure data integrity.

Trained user personnel on using the new batch process system. Eliminated complex entry of AS/400 commands by operators and replaced with a menu driven system.

Redesigned and redeveloped the entire Electronic Fund Transfer system to communicate with Life of GA's clients. During the re-engineering process, found 400 to 600 customers who were not being billed properly on a monthly basis. Due to the new system an additional $100,000 per month of receivables is now being processed. Documented all application systems.
