Objective: Seeking a position in an organization that allows me to utilize
my previous corporate work experience but benefits from my almost 20
years of experience in volunteering to help brain and spinal cord injured
patients survive and thrive. Mark uses a “synergistic approach” at
connecting companies (such as “Second Step Incorporated”, “American
Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine”, “First Step Physical Therapy”) to
survivors.
Volunteer Work Experience
Seminole Spirit Adaptive Golf Director: January 2016-Present
e Recruited brain injury survivors to help restore physical and cognitive
ADL’s in the recreational game of golf. Train survivors as adaptive
coaches to help the brain injury survivor make post brain injury
progress.
Peer Counselor (Volunteer): November 2014-Present
e Counsels, motivates and directs brain injury survivors to find
occupational significance in their lives today. Helps survivors obtain
money to pay for ongoing non-invasive therapies, allowing for
re-entry with employment and family.
