Vanderbilt University Medical Center - Nashville, TN Present

• Responsible for P&L for multiple budgets. Including all aspects of personnel, inventory, operational supplies, rentals, consignments, space allocations, revenue, all operational expenses, capital expenses, and allocations.

• Developed and implemented an off-site case cart program that supports distribution of supplies for 70 operating rooms. Responsible for all aspects of the operational, safety, and regulatory aspects of the facility.

• Responsible for the entire supply chain process that includes management of 12 departments and supervision of 110 employees.

• Responsible for procurement including negotiation of contracts to include consigned and owned inventory. Managed multiple conversions to include (Cardinal to Owens and Ethicon to US surgical). Management of procurement that includes consigned, special patient orders, medical supplies and equipment, direct, and non-direct; both domestic and international from the purchase order to the general ledger. Also, serve on the MEOC committee.

• Responsible for creation and management of SOPs, Policies, and Procedures. Implemented an internal quality program that works hand in hand with the EOC. Serve on the executive steering committee to enforce quality improvements and implement JHACO requirements.

• Responsible for the implementation of point of use. Requirements include changing the manual inventory processes to scanning technology, which includes interfacing from PMM (supply materials management system to Omni-cell).

• Management of 55 million dollars of on-hand inventory, which is made up of 4,800 skus (between VCH and VUH). Management of consigned, manual, and perpetual inventories with distribution supply expenses averaging 15 million per month.

• Manage and maintain the Elevate program. Responsible for leading, training, and developing the associates; including all aspects of HR related functions.

• Developed supply chain KPIs and quality standards towards achievement of 99.9% accuracy rate and 98.8% fill rate.

• Implementation of the case cart operation offsite metrics.

• Working on a committee to introduce lean six sigma. (Green belt certified)

• Responsible for Central Sterile Processing and Case Cart Build at the offsite facility.

• Liaison between the surgeons and clinical staff on any materials/supply related issue.

• Redesign of all OR COREs, implementation of the CCT CORE (adding 12 OR rooms), implementation of room carts and specialty carts.

• Created SOPs for operational, safety, and security processes for the new facility to meet standards set by OSHA, EOC, JHACO, AAMI, and internal hospital requirements.

• Responsible for all the offsite facility issues, maintenance, negotiations, compliance, and serve as the primary contact for all governmental and regulatory agencies.

• Responsible for the communication, and operational implementation of new O.R. products on a continuous basis. Analyze inventory on a daily basis, liaison with the clinical staff to insure the appropriate product is stocked to justify cost and usage.

• Responsible for inventory management for all controlled (scheduled II thru V), refrigerated, and non- refrigerated finished goods including tablets, capsules, liquids, injectables, and unit-does products. • Manage order fulfillment process for over 1,500 SKUs of brand and generic prescription pharmaceuticals representing over $2 billion in annual sales.

• Responsible for budget development and monitoring distribution expenditures including personnel, operating expenses, and building rent/utilities/maintenance. Establish CAR proposals for facility expansions and improvements.

• Hire, supervise, train, and develop warehouse staff members in an effort to continually improve the overall flow, efficiency, and effectiveness of day-to-day distribution operations.

• Identify, plan, and implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) that promote a safe and productive work environment.
