I am an analytical, attention to detail and results driven person who has managed the debt and investments, at a substantial level, of a portfolio of agricultural clients in various industries. The managing included the annual review of the credit facilities and placing new credit business on the books and submit the motivated application to Credit Division.

Apart from the lending I am trained to do marketing of associated products.

I have good knowledge of acquiring the relevant information to assess clients and potential client’s financial status and repayment ability. Obviously this will be aligned according to the company credit regulations.

I also see myself as being innovative in the sense to improve systems to the benefit of the clients as well as my employer.

I have knowledge of various agricultural industries and seasonality which is important in the assessment of the credit risk.

Control of portfolio expenses has been part of my job description to improve the profitability of my portfolio as well as that of Standard Bank.

Managing all applications for credit facilities from customers from assessment to initial application to a Credit Manager according to all the Legal Requirements as set out in the different Acts.

Ensuring that all relevant security, required for the lending, are obtained and regularized before lending is granted.

Ensure the day to day management of the impaired loan portfolio is carried out to the highest standard, including loan account maintenance, documentation preparation and hard copy file management.

Early identification of troublesome clients and management thereof.

Contacting existing and potential clients on a daily basis.

Annual review of credit facilities and subsequent completion of review application.
