CCA Surgery Center Inc

This is my own firm and the firm provides consultant services. We specialize in outpatient surgical services. That includes planning from the ground up to the final survey where the surgery center obtains a license to open, either through state, accreditation or Medicare. We work with the owner, architects and financial institutions to obtain/build a facility that provides surgical services on an outpatient basis. We also provide ongoing consultant services for a facility to renew their license, accreditation or certification.

Catered Manor Skilled Nursing

I worked in this skilled nursing facility as a nursing supervisor on a part-time basis for a short (8 months) period of time. We did not part on a friendly basis. It was during a stressful time as the administrator had walked off and the whole place was in turmoil.

Maxim Healthcare Services: Through this agency I have worked at the following:

LA County Health Department – Pomona

The county of LA placed homeless people who were Covid positive in a hotel in Pomona for 14 days. The county provided healthcare services and a caring habitat during this period of quarantine. Nursing staff worked 8 hour shifts and during that time, provided nursing assessments for the County Health Officials of the nurse’s assigned patients as to their medical needs.

Orange County Health Department

Worked at assigned vaccination sites during the Covid 19 outbreak

ResCare Community Living – Costa Mesa Site

This was a contract for a certain period of time to work at 2 houses that had not done well during a state inspection. It was fascinating work. They have since requested me when they have had other openings.

Santa Ana School District

Initially through a summer term (2021) and then a school year (21/22,23), (1) worked with the district at various schools whenever they had a positive student, and then we did the contact tracing and sent various students home to quarantine. (2) Schools had set up a HMR room and teaching staff would send a student to the nurse who presented with certain symptoms (a decision tree, provided by the health department) and the nurse would determine if the student was to be sent home and be placed on quarantine per the decision tree. (3) We also were sent students who may have been in close contact with someone who was Covid positive or had been travelling and per contact tracing policy we would determine when that student could return to school or if they could stay in school.

I also started to cover the school health office (2021) and within a few months I moved into the school nurse position and I was placed at 2 schools and I worked in the school health office plus I started doing hearing and sight exams. I also did the follow up on inoculations and care plans

Santa Ana School District- 2022/23

School nurse: Responsible for 2 schools. I did assessments for IEP and 504, plus sight and hearing for each school.

I did the follow-up for each child that took medication at school. I did emergency care plans for each student that had a medical condition and met with the home teacher of each student and went over the emergency care plan. I left a copy of such with each teacher.

I also started doing the complete care plans for students that had a medical condition and were students at either school.

I also started meeting with parents when they had a newly diagnosed child with a medical condition and went over the physician orders and the parents’ expectations, etc.
