WORK EXPERIENCE

Honeywell – Feb 2021 – Nov 2021 (Dayton, Ohio )

Indirect buyer during SAP conversion of the Dayton, Ohio plant (Temporary position). Responsible for all purchasing functions pertaining to plant needs as well as maintenance items to maintain equipment for manufacturing. Updated current system as far as pricing and shipping information and wrote all necessary purchase orders to keep plant running. Left position once the cutover to SAP was started so that full time employee could make a smooth transition to SAP.

Honeywell – Feb 2019-Aug 2019 (Dayton, Ohio)

On the SAP implementation team working within various systems doing data cleansing prior to

start up. Dumping all system information into excel spreadsheets from current systems to allow

updates into SAP. Cleansed Bill of Materials in current system and responsible for over 20,000

separate line items. Updated descriptions, unit of measure and quantities for all finished assemblies prior to load. Worked with Engineering and design for latest BOM’s updates.

ARI-Hetra – Oct 2015-Dec 2016 (Lebanon, Ohio)

Purchasing and Logistics Manager for small industrial power lift supplier. Have 20 direct reports

and responsible for all materials, purchasing and logistic functions. Negotiate contracts with

suppliers to achieve cost reduction goals. Provide daily reports to staff as to sales, efficiencies,

future sales and materials or logistic issues. Issue all purchase orders to 97 suppliers and keep

current inventory levels to 2 weeks or less on hand.

IAC – Nov 2014 – Oct 2015 (Sidney, Ohio)

Materials Manager for tier one supplier of finished carpet inlays primarily for Ford, GM and

Chrysler. Have 8 direct reports and responsible for all material and logistics issues within the

Plant. Purchasing functions for raw materials and negotiating cost downs for improved bottom line. Materials Manager for tier one supplier of brake corners to General Motors. Have 12 direct reports and responsible for all material and logistics issues within the Saginaw, MI plant. Responsible for Kaizan activities and all “lean” initiatives in the plant. Implemented Kanban scheduling system throughout the plant.Monitor schedule attainment daily as well as current on hand inventory to achieve monthly goals. Responsible for all Purchasing functions of raw materials and negotiating pricing to improve profits and margin as well as any Supply Chain issues. Work with Health and Safety to maintain zero accidents and no lost time or recordables for the year. Evaluate suppliers and ratings and make plant visits to create a good working relationship with supply base. Initiated a cycle count program and have achieved great success in maintaining inventory accuracy each month. Have reduced logistics costs through routing changes and economies of scale.

Stoneridge – June 2010 – Nov 2012 (Mansfield, Ohio)

Materials Manager for Hi-Stat division of Stoneridge. Have 10 direct reports and responsible for all material and logistics issues as a tier one supplier primarily to Ford, GM and Chrysler. Initiated cycle count program to become world class, monitor inventory levels to achieve PFEP goals and did away with Signum program to save $12,500 per month in costs. Understands the needs of operations and customers and worked vigorously to keep Q1 status with Ford that was in jeopardy because of poor shipping performance. Evaluate suppliers and visit locations to build relationships for new product launch. Support “lean” activities throughout the plant and helped create and set up supermarkets for part delivery and presentation by using Kanban system.

Amtex – Nov 2006 – May 2010 (Lebanon, Ohio)

Materials Manager for former Lear plant located in Lebanon, Ohio. Have 10 direct reports

and responsible for all material and logistics issues as a tier one supplier to Toyota, Honda,

Mitsubishi, and Ford. Implemented new QAD MRP system in November 2007. Responsible

for Kanban throughout the plant and increase inventory accuracy from 89% to 98% through

cycle count activities and increased scrap reporting accuracy. Major supplier of finished

carpet inlays to above mentioned car companies and help maintain excellent quality ratings

through increased accountability of shipping docks.

Analyze market conditions as well as supplier market to insure material costs, lead times and

availability of products are met. Select and evaluate suppliers and visit locations to analyze

capabilities. Monitor quality, cost and delivery performance on a monthly basis and build

long term relationships. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and logistic carriers to achieve

material cost reduction activities. Support manufacturing in new product development and

address all packaging concerns. Provide updates status reports on all Material issues in daily

staff meetings. Understand the needs of operations, customers and suppliers to create positive

Johnson Controls – Jun 2001 – Nov 2006 (St Marys, Ohio)

Materials Manager for interior seating plant located in St. Marys, Ohio. Have 17 direct reports

and responsible for all material and purchasing issues. Supplier to 2 Honda Assembly Plants as tier one . Metrics include inventory dollars, days on hand, inventory turns, inbound freight and safety status. Also responsible for all material Kaizan activities within the plant as well as “lean” iniatives, and maintaining MRP system in MFG PRO. Reduced inventory levels by over $500,000 and saved over $1500/month in trailer rentals for on-site storage. Also reduced manpower for $250,000 annual savings.

Delphi Chassis –Aug 1977- Jun 2001 (Dayton, Ohio)

Coordinate all shipping and receiving activities at a 2 million sq. ft. facility.
