On a new machine design, developed the safety controls part of the automation program for the machine, using Allen-Bradley GuardLogix 5000 processors and GuardLogix I/O.

Developed, from scratch, an automation system to retrofit onto machines in the field that automatically sets up these machines for production of a given order.

As a volunteer on the "Green Team", I researched and had quoted an upgrade to our facility lighting to replace failing and aging fluorescent lighting with new LED lighting technology. By taking advantage of rebates for the LED lighting, the ROI on the upgrade was less than 12 months.

TAI Engineering – 5/2012 to12/2012 Senior Automation Engineer

While with TAI, assignments included design of a control system to move lubricants for jet engines from a storage depot to a canning machine where the bulk material was put into cans of various sizes for distribution.

Assigned to the McCormick Spice Mill to act as their Plant Engineer, involved with various applications involving the processing of spices under the control or both PLC and computer-based plant level automation and tracking. This position had more supervision of outside contractors actually performing the work, that directly doing any hands-on programming.
