Engine dynos for both Chrysler V6 & 6.2 Hemi built in Trenton, MI and Saltillo Mexico. Responsible for Design in Inventor thru deliverable in Autocad.

Transmission Valve Body Clamp Feed (conveyance), Locating, Sealing, & High Pressure Testing.

Transmission Cold Test for automotive Builders/Rebuilders – Eaton, General Motors.

Design, Detail, within Solidworks 2009, of tubing gages, and medical assembly equipment.

Work independently, dealing directly with the customer, from my home office w/ Solidworks 2009 to Design, Detail & Check Robot End-Of-Arm Tools (7 in total) and Part Stand for robotic placement of a Borg-Warner transmission valve body to machining centers and wash stations. .

Design Engineer - ABB Flexible Automation

October 2001 – June 2006 (4 years 9 months)

Design assembly stations within Autocad primarily & used Solidworks 2005-6, for Axle, Transmission, & Engine assemblies.

Insertion tooling for auto-installation of shifter mechanism to Harley-Davidson 6-speed transmission. Layout of Harley-Davidson transmission line, including stops, electrical interfaces.

Robotic Cell including End-Of-Arm tooling for robot application of RTV to axle face prior to installation of cover.

In Standards Department – line layouts and conveyor sections as required by customer (including drives, stops, & ‘custom’ line needs as necessary). Prototype jobs included designing a 3 robot piston stuffing station, Corner drive conveyor system to eliminate, turntables in ‘corners’ of conveyor - reducing costs.

Corner rotate for production lines, this was generally a standard with ABB but it was necessary occasionally to make custom rotates depending on the customers needs.

Various other assembly stations for production automotive lines from insertion of sleeves to block in diesel engines, to pressing bearings and inserting spacers to axles.

Design Engineer - RYCO Engineering

October 1996 – June 2006 (10 years - 5 years In-House, approx. 5 yrs. Contracted into ABB)

Forming Tools & Gaging for steering shafts. (Delphi)

Gaging for Front Axle components – Tripot, Ball, Cage, Inner Race, Housing (CV Joint Assembly). For Delphi who built front axle assemblies for GM, Chrysler, Volvo.

Machining - 8 position rotate table and locating/holding fixtures for Ford V8 L&R Exhaust Manifolds. Designed and Detailed in Mechanical Desktop (3D).
