Detail Duties & Responsibilities

Financial Management Responsibilities

Process and/or review the accurate and timely processing and submission of payments and other financial transactions ensuring compliance with budgetary limits, IPSAS and organizational regulations, rules, policies, procedures, and standards of accountability;

Monitor and analyze financial transactions, accounting reports and reconciliation of accounts to ensure accurate and current financial information for applicable compliance;

Review bank statement and GL expenditure on a regular basis to see unreconciled items and further investigate outstanding items to ensure clean bank reconciliation and ensure all the payments transfer orders are affected by the bank;

Delivers efficient and high quality service to customers;

Countersigns on documents and transaction tickets and letters;

Ensures all adjustment transaction are properly posted;

Monitor the daily cash position in order to optimize the use of surplus cash and maximize returns on investment through the liquidity portfolio;

Maintain effective business relationships with local banks and cooperating partners;

Discharge all duties and responsibilities as dictated in the branch banking procedure;

Allocate tasks to other support staff, provide guidance and on-the-job training in management of financial resources to ensure services are delivered consistently and to the required standards;

Administration Responsibilities

Participate in the physical verification of CBE property, plant and equipment (PPE) and inventories.

Ensure all premises are maintained clean, in good physical conditions, and provide a safe working environment;

Supervise the daily operation of the suspense account;
