Program Director - Strategic Initiatives (M&A)

As the Program Director for the Strategic Initiatives team, managed the integration of three legal entities acquired by the Bank as part of M&A - HSBC Canada, Brewin Dolphin Asset Management, UK and BlueBay Asset Management, UK from a Cyber Security perspective to allow for network integration between the organizations. This is required to ensure security is not compromised, vulnerabilities are addressed, capability alignment and assessment of current risk posture and any security gaps in the environment of the acquisition company are remediated before access to the networks and applications are allowed, Identity and Access Management framework of policies and technologies are enforced to ensure that the right users have the appropriate access to technology resources.

As Senior Project Manager / Program Manager, leading and managing the very large and complex Joint Security Operations Centre (JSOC) program, Workload Segmentation, IT RIsk Reporting, CRES for Global Cyber Security.

JSOC is a centralized service to many stakeholders within the bank who manage digital risk and financial crimes. Underpinned by a core data science capability, JSOC fuses key elements of people, process and technology. JSOC provide common digital risk management shared services to vertical risk management functions in RBC (i.e. Fraud, AML, CIS, HR, GCS etc.) in order to reduce hard dollar losses, promote shared investment and reduce operational costs. The JSOC brings efficiencies to the bank by improving communications, threat detection, incident response time and reducing the redundancies and duplication in the analytics and investigation areas. Project managing the CRES (Cisco Registered Envelope Service) Email Encryption project which aims to improve RBC’s security posture for email and leveraging Cisco’s cloud solution for email security.

●Program managing the activities including status reporting, interfacing with the business and partnering applications, communications, issues and risk management

●Responsible for delivery of all the project artefacts i.e. Project Agreement, Control Workbook, IRP, PIA, SRMA, SOW, POG / ESG decks etc.
