PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Process Engineer, Ammonia Process: Dangote Fertilizer Limited, KM 15, Lekki Free Trade Zone, Ibeju- Lekki, Lagos. August, 2016 to Present.

Duties:

As a shift coordinator, I am responsible for the implementation of the Dangote Fertilizer ammonia Plant’s production plan, and the process control strategy, gas compression, natural gas- steam reforming, Carbon monoxide conversion to carbon dioxide, CO2 absorption, high pressure syngas conversion reaction, and ammonia product refrigeration and storage operation.

Collaborates with cross functional teams to optimize ammonia production processes, resulting in 98% plant energy efficiency, 10% increase in production and a 20% reduction in operating cost (through energy savings).

Collaborated with cross functional teams in construction, equipment installation, and commission of 200MTPD ammonia plant within 36 months, achieving project commissioning timeline.

Developed, and executed the plant steam network system mechanical completion, chemical cleaning, steam blowing within 90% of the program time, with zero safety incident.

Developed and executed process improvement projects (CO2 removal system’s absorption column distributors modification), leading to 15% increase in absorption rate and overall system stability.

Led root cause analysis investigations for process deviations in CO2 removal system involving bubble formation challenges and CO2 carry over with the process gas, identifying areas of improvement (in anti-foam dosing system), and implemented a corrective action to enhance product quality, process stability and overall plant availability by 10%.

Worked with Delta Steel Company, Aladja, Warri, Delta State, as process Engineer. From January 2007 to May, 2012.

Duties:

Collaborated with cross functional teams to operate and optimize the MIDREX steam reforming operations of our Direct Reduced Iron plant, achieving 92% metallization, 20% plant utilization and a 20% reduction in fines generation.

Developed and implemented process improvement projects in Lime Plant (defect control mechanism), achieving 20% improvement in quality and increased revenues.

Optimized the Lime slaking and calcinations operations of the steel complex lime production plant, improving the plant availability by 10%.
