PROJECTS
Project 1: COVID19 in North Carolina Counties. This project was coded in Python. Used Pandas to clean and format my data, which included two datasets (NC Zip Codes and Census data). Created a Jupyter Notebook describing the data exploration and clean-up process. Merged both datasets and used them to illustrate the final data analysis which included several visualizations using the Matplotlib library to describe the statistics of COVID-19 cases in NC.
Project 2: ETL Project Netflix Movies. This project was coded in Python. Used SQLAlchemy and SQLite, Postgres and web scraping to get the database from the source and use Pandas to convert JSON file into dataframes for the Netflix data which included movie ratings, genres, and web links. The data was analyzed and visualized using Matplotlib to show the popular movies and ratings. GitHub: https://github.com/hebamohsen04/ETL-Project
Project 3: NYC Taxis and For Hire Trip. This project was coded in Python. Selected the data for December 2019 Original Data Size (22 Million Records), the data was provided by NYC transportation authority in the form of CSV files. Python was used to process the files and store them in a Postgres DB. The data was visualized on Tableau comparing Taxi and For-Hire trips, locations and revenue. Project 4: Rezoning in the City of Charlotte. Collected data from 2 data sources to create a Machine Learning Model that predicts if zoning change requests will be approved, denied, deferred, or withdrawn. Pulled “Rezoning History” data from the City of Charlotte through the ArcGIS API and converted a CSV of Charlotte’s “Quality of Life Explorer.” Used Python Pandas to import, clean, and export into an AWS S3 bucket. Using the data, created a machine learning model that predicts the outcome of future zoning requests.
