Credit Analyst for US government sponsored consolidator of mortgage-backed securities.

Supported the mortgage purchase and securitization programs through the assessment and ongoing monitoring of loans purchased from partner financial institutions; this work included identifying material changes to lending patterns and tracking loan quality; provided ad hoc support for assessment of partner financial institutions’ continuing participation in the loan purchase program.

Urban Growth Property Trust - Chicago Illinois. 1997-2000

Vice President – Due Diligence, Corporate Finance and Secretary for private real estate investment trust

Responsible for contract negotiation, acquisition due diligence and internal reporting. Specific duties included: Due Diligence: Negotiated contracts, underwrote, and closed over 30 acquisitions totaling $420 million; prepared Investment Memos and financial models of acquisitions and presented these to the Board of Trustees. Asset Management: Managed the Trust’s investment portfolio; prepared monthly performance analyses and annual operating and capital budgets; updated monthly operating results, compared these to budget and reported variance results (with explanations) to the Board of Trustees. Leased retail space with local agents in numerous CBD markets. Corporate Finance: Monitored cash flow and scheduled equity calls with parent company based on operations, capital plans, acquisitions, and dividend distributions; assisted outside accountants in the preparation of the annual balance sheet, cash flow report, and operating statement; prepared financial reports for the Board and distributed to shareholders. Developed strategies for achieving corporate goals annually and shared these with market officers.
