Eisenhower Medical Center – HIM Specialist

My Duties at Eisenhower Medical Center are to index all patient records to an online application by the name of EPIC for physicians and patients to view, make sure all paperwork goes into correct patient account. Scan documents, assign deficiencies to physicians on any orders that were not signed, answer telephones, fax medical records after obtaining signed Release of Information form. I also work on birth registry which includes typing and uploading birth certificates.

John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital- HIM Tech

Prepare, scan and index patient paper chart onto an online application after patient had been discharged. Answer telephones and voicemails in a timely manner. Fax medical records to other hospitals, facilities and physician offices after obtaining proper authorization. I would also type Birth Certificates of newborn babies and send them to Riverside County to be registered.
