ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES —

• Meet with applicant to collect all required licensing application documents and review for completeness and required signatures.

• Make copies of documents required for file.

• Enter completed application into departmental data base.

• Calculate and collect application fees and issue receipt.

• Print out posting notices and generate post application documents from departmental data base. - Explain posting notices, notification requirements and fingerprint requirements to applicants.

• Create licensing file and forward to appropriate supervisor to assign to Licensing Representative

• Mail forms to escrow company and mail notification to local officials

• Review catering or event authorization applications and daily license applications for completeness.

• Contact applicant if additional information is needed.

• Calculate and collect application fees and issue receipt.

• Obtain supervisor’s approval. If conditions are required by Law Enforcement Agency or Supervisor, attach standard conditions list and obtain applicant’s signature.

• Input application into departmental data base. Print license from departmental data base.

• File application, copy of license, and any supporting documentation in file.

• Notify applicant of approval or denial.

• Mail license to applicant.

Provide instructions on application procedures and ABC forms. Provide and explain the pre-application package to applicants and direct applicants to the appropriate agencies (i.e. planners, city council, etc.) to obtain necessary documents or approvals. Provide census tract data and crime statistic data to applicants and consultants.

• Generate and maintain enforcement documentation related to licensing violation accusations at the direction of the District Administrator or Supervising Investigator.

• Using departmental data base or Microsoft Word to generate standard forms (i.e. cover letter, administrative discipline letter, acknowledgment letter, rights letter, and stipulation and waiver) to prepare accusation package for administrative discipline meeting with Licensee and District Administrato.

• After administrative discipline meeting, assemble accusation package and forward to Hearing and Legal. Enter administrative discipline information into accusation log and update departmental data base.

• Using departmental data base or Microsoft Word generate Petition Offer in Compliance (POIC) forms, suspension notice, or close out letters for local law enforcement. Prepare warning letters as necessary from departmental data base.

• Review status change list and pull file to ensure that change has been updated and filed accordingly.

• Process address changes, condition modifications, expansions, LLC/Corporate name changes, withdrawals of transfers, and cancellations submitted by licensee.

• Prepare a variety of forms related to the licensing process.

• Issue temporary and Interim Operating Permits. Pull files on revocation pending list received from Accounting.

• Verify in departmental data base if renewal fees have been paid. If necessary, send letter to licensee to inform them of renewal fees and due date.

• Collect fees and issue receipt.

• Complete license reinstatement process forms.

• Receipt all incoming money.

. Reconcile checks and send cash transmittal report to accounting on a daily basis.

• Process incoming and outgoing mail.

• Maintain knowledge of ABC Act and ABC laws, rules and regulations.

• Utilize Staff Support Licensing Manual, Staff Orientation Handbook, Clerical Workbook, data base manual, P & L manuals and ABC internet to perform duties and answer questions via telephone or in- person from the general public, licensees, applicants, consultants, attorneys, members of the alcoholic beverage industry, and allied law enforcement agencies regarding alcoholic beverage licensing requirements, process, and procedures.

• Print Criminal Identification and Information (CII) fingerprint results from Department of Justice

(DOJ) system. Log date received into departmental data base and distribute to appropriate Licensing Representative. Print subsequent arrest notifications and determine if applicable to a current license by checking departmental data base. Notify DOJ when arrest notification is no longer needed. Destroy fingerprint result data upon issuance of license or withdrawal of application. Tax Technician I
