Career Highlights:

Val has been an accomplished Sales Executive, Regional Sales Manager. After signing a Professional baseball contract in College, Val played briefly and due to a shoulder injury, returned to University to finish Degree in Education and acquired a Master's Degree. He then was hired to lecture to Civic organizations and Colleges on the dangers of Heart disease during the evenings, and was hired by Goddard Space Flight Center (Greenbelt, Maryland) as the Stress Lab Supervisor increasing participation 30%. After two years of working two jobs he accepted a position with Consolidated Medical to sell ECG electrodes and other medical equipment in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

After working for four years, Val was hired away from ConMed to work for Quinton Instruments (A Div. of A.H. Robins) covering the South Florida Region. During his tenure with Quinton, Val received the highest award given to only four people in Quinton's history. The diamond ring was awarded for achieving five continuous years for highest percentage over quota averaging 136% over quota. He was rewarded as a Regional Manager and was appointed to develop Quinton's first National Training School with three other outstanding achievers at Headquarters, in Richmond, Virginia. Val’s ability to change Cardiologists techniques for measuring ST segment analysis to computer analysis is well documented. He was also the first executive at Quinton to participate in construction of a Cardiac Rehab Center at Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and introduced Quinton's Clinical treadmills to the Wellness / Fitness Industry.

After over 23 years in the Cardiology Medical Sales Industry, Val was offered a position as Territory Manager for FlexFoot/ Ossur North America. Val set sales records with Flexfoot and won the new technology sales contest for selling the newly developed Ceterus prosthetic foot for amputees. Val sold an incredible 86 Ceterus Prosthetic feet in three months. He has documented proof of obtaining the largest single orders for three Companies (Some over a Million dollars) and Salesman of the year at four different Medical Companies.

I have worked for Impact Golf Inc. and Swingtime Golf Magazine and Sales Manager. At Impact Golf my responsibilities were to set up One Day Golf events at Golf Resorts for clients and Corporations to engage, learn golf techniques and maintain relationships with high margin clients. Swingtime Golf Magazine was distributed to top golfing CEO’s throughout the world. We sold Advertising to investment, realestate and golf manufactures. Impact has moved to Wisconsin and Swingtime has moved Headquarters to Island of Mauritus.

Val is currently National Sales Manager for Mental Training Inc. MTI provided mental toughness training for Professional athletes, Olympic athletes, elite amateur athletes and business executives.

Baseball / Softball Background

Morehead State University: signed baseball letter of intent/ scholarship

Led Ohio Valley Conference in Homeruns in 1970 (8) Morehead State MVP 1970 on National Batting Championship team.

1.Elected by MLB scouts to play in Shenandoah Valley Summer League All Star Game 1970

2.Batted .371 in 1970 and .354 in 1971 at Morehead State University before shoulder injury in spring of 1971.

3.Ohio Valley Conference. Fifth in Nation in slugging percentage. Seventh in homerun percentage 1970

4.Elected to Rehab shoulder and Yankee Organization flew me to NY for workout.

5.Signed with New York Yankee Organization 1971 assigned to Oneonta in New York Penn League. ( Won Pennant 1971 )

6.Signed with Baltimore Monuments of newly formed Professional Slow Pitch Softball team

7.Played in first world series of Professional slow pitch softball ( Baltimore vs Detroit 1979 )

8.1989 West Palm Beach Tropics Senior Professional Baseball League. Played through the two week tryouts and daily cuts. A torn hamstring injury and short season resulted in losing a roster spot.
