TECHNICAL cum MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The project is a Production support project. It consists of two different landscapes of SAP systems consisting Dev, Quality, Pre Prod and Production for two business lines (Pharma and Specialty). SAP modules like ECC, CRM, SCM SLT, GVI, BW, PO and Solution Manager. Among these few are on Oracle while others are on SAP HANA, Sybase Databases. The entire support and Maintenance were responsibilities SAP Basis Team where I was leading the team.

Production OS maintenance was happening on monthly basis for which the maintenance in the non -prod environments was scheduled on the prior weekends. These entire activities need direct support from SAP Basis and the HANA DB admins.

The Release Management was also led by SAP Basis and during the Maintenance Window I need to drive from Basis end along with playing Release Manager role for a seamless delivery. So I was responsible for the co-ordination between different teams and driving the release which consists of both the Basis related works and the involvements from other SAP / non-SAP verticals.

Incidents and Change Request are managed by Service Now. The responsibilities of process compliance, timely solution of the Incidents (within SLA time-line) and getting proper approvals with in the planned Change dates were taken care by myself. Guiding the team for any critical issues on SAP Basis related incidents are also within my scope of work.

Archiving of data, Licensing updates are also under our scopes.

Participate in the bi-annually DR drills.

SOX Compliance and other external Audit compliance for the SAP systems are also in SAP Basis Team’s scope, which required thorough understanding of the system specific requirements and company scopes. Checking and mitigating regular vulnerabilities are also our duties.Judging the impact of eac and every vulnerabilities and taking necessary solutions and crucial decisions are guided by me.

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

SAP Upgrade project is in progress where the SAP S/4 1909 SP01 is moving to the latest support pack level of SP05.Along with S4, the CAR, SLT and Fiori are also getting upgraded to the latest patch level.

The entire project is managed by Focused Build in Solution Manager. The support landscape is managed by CHARM.As a Basis consultant, I need to support both these applications for the stakeholders.

The SAP servers are on SAP HEC and as an application administrator I need to co-ordinate and support HEC team for server administration.

The Greenfield implementation of SAP FnR and BW are being supported for different tiers. The configurations are also happening together with SAP HEC team.

TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP

I guided, mentored and performed in the SAP(EHP8) Upgrade project, which went go-live successfully on Sept, 2018.There were almost 6 system-landscapes to be upgraded with the proper configuration and connectivity with the third party tools and apps and specially with the upgraded SAP DQM(which is also within the scope of the entire SAP Upgrade project.

In the project we had SAP ISU, CRM, BW and BO Applications. We have VLTrader, Open Text applications, etc. which are named as Third-Party Apps. All he DB related works are also supported. The entire server administration and support from application end have been supported by Basis team under my supervision.

Along with the daily operational Production support, I owned the deliveries for the ongoing and upcoming initiatives as well.

I took active participation in the SAP Security activities.

MANAGERIAL ACTIVITIES

I was the Point-of Contact in offshore for the EHP Upgrade project and used to deal between the teams for on-time correct progress and delivery.

Primarily I am leading the SAP Basis Team (offshore) and Third-Party Application (offshore) which consists of seven associates from offshore and one at onshore.

Not only the Technical Leading, but I am also actively engaged in the Project delivery planning with all the other teams and requirement analysis.

In the Last SAP Upgrade, I played a dual role of technical lead and the project planning and execution. From the SAP Administ4ration level. I worked together with management on the deliveries. The SAP upgrade project is a huge success.

Moreover, many a times I have worked also as a Change Manager for few of the enhancements in the offshore hours and guided the team towards seamless Go-Live, maintaining and adhering the client policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The requirement in this project varies from SAP Basis to Security to Oracle DB support to administering Third-party applications. The seamless support and the initiative deliveries are the major responsibilities.

I ensure and own the on-time completion of the new initiatives and operational deliveries

Planning of deployment schedule according to the dependencies and timeline is also in my bucket of work.

Creating an amicable environment between all the teams, for a perfect error free delivery.
