Product: ` WorkXmate ERP

Period: April 2012 to May 2014

Company: WorkXmate/AlmaMate

Role: Technical Lead

Description:

WorkXmate product is an cloud based ERP software solution seeks to streamline and integrate operations, processes and information flows in an enterprise, to synergize the resources of an organization namely men, material, money and machine. In other words, WorkXmate product integrates all data and processes of an organization into a unified system. WorkXmate uses multiple components of computer software and hardware to achieve the integration and use of a unified database to store data for the various system modules.

WorkXmate is based on truly multi–tenant, service-oriented architecture (SOA) and database (Metadata) driven architecture. Most of the applications of WorkXmate product are cross-functional and enterprise wide software solutions. WorkXmate provide seamless integration of all the business applications like CRM, HCM and PMS. It greatly reduces the effort required by the management team in doing repetitive administrative tasks. Workmate’s revolutionary design enables applications to be easily configured without programming.

All the applications designed to seamlessly share data and work with single login. It has role-based Dashboard, Reports and Analytics. It has fully configurable workflows, business rules and alerts. It has multi-level security to ensure that every one has access to what they need only. It has been designed for iPad/iPhone and Android tablet/phone and window so that anyone can directly work on their phone/tablet’s web browser without downloading and maintaining applications.

Workflow Engine

I had created generic workflow engine using JBoss business process management (JBPM) API. Workflow engine is database driven and there is no programming is required for executing every workflow. I had also customized the JBPM source code to handle multi-tenant architecture for approval workflows. There is no file I/O is required as generally workflow design file is required to create new workflow and execute.

Business Rule Engine

I had created generic business rule engine using JBoss Drools API. It is also database driven and no programming is required to create new rules and execute. Also, there is no file I/O is required as generally decision table/DRL file is required.

IOC Framework

I had created IOC framework by using reflection and it is database driven.

Reports & Analytics

I had created reports and analytics on dashboard. Report can be viewed online and downloaded in PDF/Excel/CSV format. Reports are editable. Reports are categorized into three parts i.e. Standard Reports, My Reports and Custom Reports. We can also export the object list view data into PDF/ Excel format. It can be attached and email using alert engine. Analytics is same as Reports but here we can generate six types of charts with detail and summary views. These views data can be exported in PDF/Excel format.

Project: Traders Vacation Monitoring System

Role: Track Lead

Description:

Authorized active trader can login into these systems and start trading activities. Traders who are on vacation should log into these systems or perform functions like creating a trade, cancelling a trade and amending a trade etc. Currently HR department cannot restrict it so traders do the trading activities even they are on the vacation.HR has a manual audit process to track this. At the end of each month HR publishes a list of all traders who have taken a vacation in the previous month with vacation dates. Each trading systems needs to provide a log of activities by these traders on their vacation dates from their systems. The trading systems have a manual process to extract and provide vacation activity audit information.

TVMS (Traders Vacation Monitoring System) is a technology strategy proving an automated process to pull the vacation activity audit information from each trading system. It will also be having a data repository to store this information and from where reports can be produced on demand or as per pre-defined schedule. From implementation perspective, TVMS is combination of web application and batch process. It has two main parts: (I) reporting platform, this will be J2EE application running on IBM web Sphere server with java controller/schedulers and MS SQL database. (II) System connectors, these will be components running also in the WebLogic Application Server to connect with each trading system. These will act as middle layer between reporting platform and trading systems.

Project: Venom Adapters

Period: Nov 2010 to Jan 2011

Company: Sapient Corporation

Client: TD securities

Role: Track Lead

Description:

VENOM (Virtual Enterprise Network Oriented Model) is a technology strategy that aim to streamline the communication among TDS application and among TDS a application and outside systems by introducing a single data standard for ‘in–transit’ data representation: TD Markup Language (TDML) which is XML based, and a common protocol for data transmission process: Java Messaging Services (JMS), thus increasing the ability of the technology to react in real-time mode to trade and market events.

From implementation perspective, VENOM is an Enterprise Service Bus that allows an easy integration to other systems. It has two main parts: (I) the infrastructure, the most important components being the Enterprise Message Server (EMS) and Business Works (BW) as part of TIBCO technology platform, and the DB2 pure XML for data storage and (ii) as noted previously, a standard for data representation the TDML. TDML consists of a collection of schema definition plus supporting documentation and applicable processes.

The DB2 pure XML storage facilitate an important additional benefit that derives from the model: each TDML message passing through can be (and it is) persisted as XML data type, thus VENOM offers a versatile storage model for all trades and other category of business objects regardless of their source BOR, and which can then be exploited for the benefit of those downstream system which need timed data snapshots. Every TDS system that wants to be a VENOM participant can leverage on VENOM capabilities via a light weight application that translates from system specific business objects into TDML and publish to the bus and/or retrieve TDML messages from the bus and transform them into system specific business objects.
