Work History

Albert Surface Technologies: 2006 to date

Supervisor of a fast-paced company working to the best of my ability and ensuring my team are all

working efficiently and safely.

Very hands on by helping my team jig and dejig loads to get the most out of production

Working with furnaces in a safe manner using many dangerous gasses and chemicals on site

Working with kilns (tempering baths)

In-house license for a reach truck and forklift

Working with parts of the MES system to input production log procedures

Dealing with customers deliveries and occasional phone calls

Setting and adjusting induction machinery to suit certain specifications

Monitoring the filling of nitrogen tanks

Loading and unloading ammonia tanks as and when needed

Adjusting ammonia, endothermic, methane levels to the desired specification

Controlling temperatures and vacuum levels

Making sure myself and my team are using COSHH when handling different types of oils and aqua

quench

Hoist/crane trained

Quality tests using Rockwell machines, HB machines and case plotting materials when needed

Assisting with on call rota when needed

Follow a constant ongoing of 5s’ to ensure shop floor is at a high standard of cleanliness

Qualified shift first aider

Work with a handful of tools to fix the breakdowns if able to do so

Education

Blackburn College: 2004 to 2006

● N.V.Q level 2 in Bricklaying

● Experience with various metals: mild steel, alloy steels, aluminium, high speed steels to name a few

Hobbies & Interests

I am father of a 12-year-old son and spend much of my time with him. We enjoy walking and generally exploring the outdoors. I like to take on challenging projects which has overall given me excellent DIY skills.

I have previously been a koi carp keeper, and this would be something I would like to take up again in the

future.

I am a very caring person and enjoy meeting new people and spending time with family and friends.
