Work Experience Asaba Specialist Hospital: Health Care attendant in Accident and Emergency. 2023-2024/Asaba.

Did housekeeping which involved changing bed linens of up to 20 beds had led to 70 % comfort of patients.

Received patients on emergency to triage using wheelchair and stretcher, as well as safely transferred stabled patients either to male or female medical/surgical wards, have enhanced quick response by doctors and nurses to 60%as well as increased availability of 50% of bed spaces for upcoming emergencies.

Checked and monitored vital signs of patients which included blood pressure, pulse rate, spo2, respiration, random blood sugar test (RBS) which enabled 95% earlier intervention by doctors and nurses.

Assisted doctors and nurses in taking care of average of 25% patients a day in administering medication, setting up drip, and collecting blood samples, giving first aid, CPR, treating and dressing wounds, suturing, and suctioning: these enhanced patients medical care to 80%.

Fixed oxygen cylinder, pipeline, and concentrator for patients on emergency, and this have saved lives.

Have been practically taught by doctors and assisted in fixing catheter.

Clamped urine cannula of catheters of patients using forceps to enable them to feel pressed to do ultrasound test. Emptying urine bags of patients. And assisted patients on wheelchairs and stretcher to various tests like X-rays ultrasounds and CT scan.
