RESUME FOR MARY ANN MIDDEN, April **, ****

Position sought: Custodian prefer afternoon or evenings, the later the better. Would like to be able to continue to do volunteer custodial work for the Champaign Public Library, especially since I have only been doing this for a few weeks or so.

Experience as Custodian:

Undergraduate experience: Worked stripping and waxing floors in box stores on weekends for 1 year; after graduation moved to working in one store doing all the routine custodial and fit in stripping and waxing a few areas during the week so no crew had to come to do the cleaning and waxing of the floor.

During Law School I was a student worker in Law Library. While primary duties involved direct service for students needing books, access to copier, shelving books so they could be quickly found by customers but also had to shelf read and clean the library inventory twice a year and during week the week as time allowed, as part of general work when could fit it in as part of routine.

After Law School, had to maintain the small offices of a small partnership of three attorneys and staff. The attorneys could afford to clean when office closed rather than spend money on a crew in offices with confidential information.

I was also the only custodian for the small pool and basketball, etc. area with showers and lockers to keep clean everyday it was open.

I simply enjoy the routine of seeing the immediate difference to customers and their generally happier attitude toward the company when the place is clean and easy to use and the workers are smiling and seem to be enjoying their work and helping the customer.

References are provided on request. I do not want the volunteer job to be of concern to the Library so would like to explain I just want more exercise cleaning but will continue to do the volunteer work.
