• Takes daily readings of Gas Turbine and its auxiliaries, Electrical Switchgears and MCCs parameters.

• Carries out routine inspection of Gas Turbine and its auxiliaries, Electrical Switchgears and MCCs for abnormal conditions (Sound, smell and sight).

• Ensures that the Lubricating and Hydraulic oil levels for Gas Turbine and its auxiliaries are within the desired levels.

• Coordinate and trained all subordinates and verified that all day to day works at plant site are done following the Standard Operating Procedures.

Conduct routine test and run Reverse Osmosis Electro deionization (RO-EDI) water treatment plant (WTP), keeping records of Hourly parameters for reliable gas turbine operation and reduction in exhaust emissions.

• Keeps the Shift charge Engineer informed of all on-going and pending activities on plant site.

• Ensured Isolation, Lockout/Tag out of specific equipment during plant monthly Shutdown maintenance.

• Troubleshot and fixed electrical/mechanical faults on Gas turbines.

• Synchronized the Gas turbine at Full Speed No Load in to supply power to Goldfields Damang Mine.

• Generated work orders in Computerized Maintenance Management System

(CMMS) for faulty equipment to be worked on.

• Supported electrical and instrumentation department during monthly plant shutdown maintenance to check air filter pressure differential transmitters and gas fuel actuator valves.

• Carried out weekly warm up on water supply system (WSS), fire suppression system (FSS), black start genset and gas unloading compressors.

• Perform any other work that the position may demand or as instructed by the Supervisor.

• Undertook daily and monthly inspection and maintenance on Gas power plant equipment.

• Service oil cooler fan motors.

• Checked differential pressure transmitters on gas turbine air intake system, cleaned engine light house tubes, inspect solenoid and gas fuel actuators valves, during monthly plant shutdowns.

• Replaced and Serviced Liquefied petroleum gas vaporizer heater contactors.
