In the 20 years I have worked in the hospitality industry I have learned to perform the following tasks proficiently:

oGreet guests, answer phone, while keeping desk organized throughout shift. I multitask well, I am an avid note taker, able to sort, wash, dry, fold laundry. Inspect finished rooms for proper cleanliness. Stock/run inventory, perform various cleaning duties, (sanitize, sanitize, sanitize….) as well as solve basic maintenance issues around property or report them properly if beyond my abilities.

oAccommodate hotel, motel, and resort patrons by registering and assigning rooms to guests, issuing room keys or cards, transmitting and receiving messages, keeping records of occupied rooms and guests' accounts, making and confirming reservations, and presenting statements to and collecting payments from departing guests.

oRecognizing 3rd Party online prepaid reservations. Dealing with these reservations, and everything that goes wrong with them, the specific cancellation policies and handling declined one time use virtual credit cards.

oCompute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.

oPerform duties to maintain 3 standards of hospitality. Overall, cleanliness, quality products and customer service, and consistency. Ensuring that they receive the same great service they’ve come to expect. Making new repeat guests, who will recommend us to everyone they know and meet.

oI like to become well acquainted with the property as to be able to answer any questions or solve any problems in a quick and concise manner.

o I have become adept at room inspections. To a fault, I have a hard time staying in motel rooms, since I can easily tell if they are actually clean.
