At SSF I oversaw warehouse operations. Duties including shipping, outbound and inbound, cycle counts, monthly, quarterly, and yearly inventory. 2000-2003

I joined the military in search of something different, I felt like I was on a path going nowhere and needed change, and a change is what I got. I am very thankful for time in service and the respect, discipline and patience that I gained from it. It was a very valuable three years, and I don’t think I would be where I am today without it.

Completed basic training at Ft. Knox, KY and AIT at Ft. Sill, OK where I would go on the be stationed the remainder of my time in service.

For the first 2 months I was the 1st Sergeants driver, very interesting position.

After driving the boss, I began the job I was trained for, Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS) crewmember.

For 6 months I trained with the Ammo team, learning how to drive a HEMTT, daily maintenance and how to operate the crane for ammo changing.

After my time with the Ammo team, I was moved into a rocket launcher as a driver.

After roughly 3 months of driving, I was assigned the position of gunner. Gunners are typically at least E-4’s but with the shortage of recruits and my ability to catch on I was pushed in the spot.
