Leadership and Culture Change: The Company grew rapidly from 2 customers to over 150 in 8 months after the new product was released. Developed new business processes to handle the rapid increase in growth globally. I redesigned and implemented new processes in customer support and services to handle this spike in growth. Revenue grew from 500K to $5 Million in 2 years. This was done by mainly implementing new technology available, CRM, e-CRM to provisioning the carrier/vendor, loading the pertinent data, testing and support.

Extraordinary International Accomplishments: Built a new team in the US, Middle East in 8 months that assumed all the responsibility of the VOIP Network 24*7 365 days a year. This provided the company around the clock monitoring of the network, helpdesk and troubleshooting, gained intimate knowledge in setting up subsidiaries internationally, and understanding local laws and regulations.

Technical Leadership and Team Building: Building the best solution to solve the problem at hand was the goal in designing the architecture of the Product. Steered implementation of company’s new Global VOIP Network Operations Center (NOC), administered annual budget, and developed associated processes and procedures for operations and business continuity. Orchestrated introduction of a VoIP telephony infrastructure and oversaw rollout in local business unit, pan-European, and global architectures.

Initiated, negotiated with global vendors to provide OpEx vs. CapEx IT infrastructure (pay-as-you-use model). Developed a Global Voice and Data VPN for SITEL. This Network is based on Voice over IP (VOIP) and data. Managed a Global Network Operations, this network consisted of a staff of 30 employees in Europe (EU NOC) and 29 in North America (NA NOC).

Assist Bell Atlantic (Current Verizon) Director of IT Operations with pre-launch and post-launch systems/operations/network management support of the BA-GNI “Glass House”. This support included assistance in planning, management, recommendation, integration and any and all ad-hoc related requests from the director of operations. Development and modifications of business rules, policies and procedures.

The Glass House contains all of the systems used in the Network Provisioning, Fault management and Network Performance Monitoring functions of the NOC.

Provided Consultative support to CBSI/Lucent technologies to develop and maintain the Methodologies & Procedures (M&P) for operating 30 Assets/Application and network components in the Network Operations Center (NOC) for Bell Atlantic Global Network Long Distance Service. Managed a team of 10 telecom engineers to accomplish the above. Provided support in developing the ORT procedures for the above global network. Designed and integrated HP Openview as a tool to use in the BAGNI Network Operations Center (glass house). The network includes multi-platform Bridges/Routers and switches.

Provided Product Development/Management of PPPD (peer to peer Data Network) for Concert (Subsidiary of British telecom & ATA&T Global) in Reston Virginia, provide Y2K compliancy management for their data network, the network consists of Intra/Internet networks running on SUN, HP platforms, using Cisco/Telematics/USR (3Com) switches/routers, Freeware Firewall and Oracle software suite for accounting and user/customer verification.

Involved in Integration and test of a Cellular/Satellite voice and data Communication system (SKYCELL) for American Mobile Satellite Corporation (AMSC). Responsibilities included daily management, integration and software development progress of this system and providing updates to the VP of Engineering on a daily basis. Responsible for reviewing Formal Test procedures for the above system. Participate and responsible in the run for the record of the testing and sign-off on the requirements that are allocated to these procedures. Provided Ad-hoc studies and tasks to the VP of engineering. Responsible for writing, implementing and completing a Formal Test Plan (FTP) for the above system.

The SKYCELL Satellite Roaming Service product is the introduction of the world’s first dual band satellite/cellular phone. This service, which will be distributed by over 155 cellular carriers across the US who serves a population of over 190 million, will provide cellular communications customers and those who live outside the range of cellular with a single mobile phone which will process calls over the cellular system when available. In absence of cellular service, the phone will process calls via AMSC’s satellite, providing the user with seamless mobile communications coverage throughout North America. Responsible for integration and testing of the above system.
