Level I Early Learning Center TOTS/Project Village, Child Care Center in the Indian River School District Frankford DE (March 2020). *Due to mandated school closures, transition to virtual fieldwork was provided by the Occupational Therapy Assistant program at DTCC for the remainder of this level I pediatric rotation.
Level I (Psych/Behavioral Health) at Cheer Adult Community Center, Georgetown, DE
(September to October 2020). Observed population, engaged in the activities with the
members, participated in daily scheduled staff activities, directed group activities for the population consisting primarily of members with TBI and documentation related to the behavioral health component of OT.
Level I The Inpatient Rehabilitation unit in the Bayhealth Hospital, Sussex Campus, Milford, DE. Participated in rehabilitation treatment implementation and clinical rounds, assisted in Providing comprehensive OT services for a caseload of 8 patients, participated in planning and implementing daily activities, and holding responsibility for the safety and well-being of the patients.
Level II Bayhealth Outpatient Rehabilitation, Dover, De (January to March 2021) • Provided comprehensive Rehabilitative care OT services for combined population with a greater focus on Hand Therapy in addition to, generalized orthopedic injuries, neuromuscular and neurocognitive conditions; TBI, SCI, CVA, and MS.
Level II Howard T. Ennis is a coeducational institution that is a component of the Indian
River School District, which provides a Special education program for students with
Special needs between the ages of 3-21, Georgetown, DE (March to May 2021) • Provided OT services for a caseload of 25 student and directed the group sessions by planning and implementing treatment sessions, daily activities, organizing, documentation progress notes, creating goals, collaborating with other members of the support team, participating in evaluations and contributing to IEP’s as well as provided translation for Spanish speaking parents during meetings.
