• Preparing specimens for CT/NG testing.

• Rendering gross descriptions of all non-Gyn specimens.

• Aid with supply monitoring, ordering, inventory, and storage to ensure adequate supply.

• Communicate information/problems to right individuals within and across shifts.

• Attend departmental meetings as needed; read and initial meeting minutes if attendance is not possible.

• Speak with internal or external customers by phone or in person and receive orders for installation, turn on, discontinuance, or change in service.

• Perform pre-analytical duties with specimens, using Universal Precautions, prior to specimen set-up.
