Partnered with other interns, scientist, & community members in validating & analyzing bird populations including biodiversity conservation across northern Sonoma County using new sonar technology: RFCx Arbimon software
Validated over 20,000 recordings analyzing spectrograms & waveforms, mapping the species distribution models with a 95% consensus rate contributing to the 2,330 hours of work done on the project by citizen scientist in 2020 alone - a record year for participation
Contributed to the development of a convolutional neural network trained to identify the recordings of species & ability to correct those identities using statistical modeling resulting in about 100% of ID’s to be true positive
Provided robust efforts to finishing up the collection of bird call clips for over 54 species of birds, used to train deep machine learning algorithms to automatically detect those 54 species across all sound recordings
Contributed towards leadership initiatives by leading others in a successful socially distanced field campaign gathering wildlife & habitat data through artificial intelligence technology resulting in recording data captured from over 200 sites
