Project Details

Project #1: CARE Center

Project Title : Care Center Application

Client : Zurich NA

Project Role : Pega developer

Period : March2020- Current

Location : Schaumburg, IL, USA (Remote)

Project Description: Care Center application built on PRPC 8. Zurich registers the insurance claims using this application. The CCPs (Users) receive the claims for any kind of insurance using multiple channels like Phone, Email, Fax, Scan etc. Care Center consists of different LOBs namely, Automobile (Auto), Worker Compensation (WC), General Liability (GL), Property, Construction, Health Care and Non-Standard to create insurance claims.

The workflow is different for each line of business. CCPs capture the required info for processing the claim using the screen flow and register the claim. The downstream system used for holding the Customer information, Policy information, Office Assignments is eZAccess system.

Once a claim is registered, acknowledgements are distributed through a Dot Net application which in-turn invokes a web service hosted by Care Center.

There are multiple web services implemented in the Care Center application. For Customer Search, to drill down the Customer based on Site Code, Employee Search, Policy Search, Stat Code (WC only), Assignment web service for assigning the claim to respective Office, Registration of Claim – involves checking if eZAccess is in update mode and registering etc.

Role & Responsibilities:

As a developer, work with leads/business analysts to design and implement the user stories assigned. Aim to deliver the work within sprint time.

Work on development of Data Model, Class structure, Access Group, Process flow, Harness rules, Layout and sections, service integration rules.

Involved in creating activities and conditional expressions, Operators, Workgroups, Workbaskets.

Implementation of Decision tables, Decision Maps and Declarative expressions as per business logic.

Conduct design and code review with LSA to ensure compliance with standards.

Involved in Production Deployment and Postproduction support.

Debugging issues and fixing performance issues using PRPC tools such as Clipboard, Performance profiler, PAL, DB trace and Tracer in troubleshooting applications and for memory usage.
