My responsibilities are as follows; Collaborates with Physicians and other health care professionals (NP) in patient’s care. Gives direct patient care according to the therapeutic plan and individual patient needs as directed in the patient care plan.
Provides appropriate information to assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in preparation and maintenance of an effective patient care plan.
Records on the patient’s official record a detailed report of care given.
Reinforces instructions given about residents by physicians or Nurse Practitioner.
Administers prescribed medications to patients and residents under specific policies and procedures.
Initiates emergency assistance a per policies and procedures.
Supervises Certified Nurses Assistants (CNA).
Maintains the confidentiality of the patients clinical record as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) regulates.
