•Chicago Park District - Lifeguard Summer 2004-2005

Lifeguard at Oak Street beach to oversee the safety of public guests. Duties included safe maintenance of beach property, which included strenuous physical activity. Main job details included enforcing beach rules for all patrons, carrying out first aid, and implementing beach rescues when required.

•Augustana College - Food Service Employee 2006-2009

Worded for my university’s food service as a short order cook. This included preparing food for my fellow college students and delivering it to them in a timely manner. Cleanliness was an important aspect of this job to ensure that the dining room and food were prepared in a disinfected environment.

•Bureau of Land Management - Mining Supervisor Summer 2007

Supervised the cleanup and restoration of public mining sites. After training, duties included continuous monitoring of mining sites to make sure that the owner of the mine followed BLM rules and regulations of an active mining site. This included visits to each site and monitoring the proper rehabilitation of each site, including GPSing mining disturbances and disruptions to native vegetation. After a report was made to the mining operator, follow-up visits were made to ensure that each site was successfully reclaimed.

•Shenzhen public schools - English Teacher 2010-2011

Began teaching English in China at Futian Foreign Languages School. Responsible for delivering lessons to students in a competitive public middle school. Classroom management was an important aspect of this job as well as building the language ability of students. Gave students the confidence to speak out and believe in themselves.

•Zhongnan University of Economics and Law - English Professor 2011-2014

As an English teacher, ensured that each student gained the skills necessary for active communication in English. Helped each student with skills in communication and graded them based upon their performance. Besides training students with communication skills in English, also ran weekly English corner sessions that were free for any student to attend.

•San New School - Chemistry Teacher and Lab Supervisor 2014-2018

Since San New was a new school when I began working there, the chemistry lab needed to be set-up. Was responsible for ordering all lab supplies, chemicals, and safety equipment. Furthermore, all these apparatuses needed to be organized within the lab environment. As a high school chemistry teacher, gave students the skills required in college for all aspects of chemistry and students were assessed on their knowledge of the subject. Besides the knowledge, this included the safe and correct skills required for laboratory experiments.

•Wuhan Britian China School (WHBC) - Chemistry Teacher 2018-2020

Taught chemistry at WHBC, a leading school that sends many graduates overseas. Gave students the skills required in college in every aspect of chemistry, including laboratory skills. Students were assessed on their knowledge of the subject and their ability to perform laboratory experiments safely and correctly.
