Amazon Software Development Engineering Aug 2022-Present

•Owned the migration of deployment structure for a major service from an existing soon to be deprecated framework to a newer model using AWS CloudFormation, ECS and Docker with improvements in approval workflows and introduced automation tests within the process thus reducing the engineer’s effort by 20% during periodical deployments.

•Developed comprehensive UI automation tests for a live feature that allows customers to input their living room dimensions and explore new decor ideas from an extensive database of paints, murals, and designs. Conducted thorough evaluations to ensure the reliability with the accuracy reaching 91%.

•Leveraged an internal Amazon framework developed in Typescript to successfully implement a single-page structure that effectively maps image data to broader sources of information, enabling navigation to the respective sources upon a click to the image. Played a key role in overseeing the entire feature launch process, from requirement gathering to providing ongoing production support. Post-effect metrics show a significant rise of 13% in the customer conversion rate.

•Removed a deprecating live feature based on Java, CSS and JavaScript supported by an external team which is related to storing encrypted customer feedback from all other internal services within the team and implemented extensive tests to make it safe for production.

COVID 19 AND MENTAL HEALTH DATA USING MONGODB Sep 2021 – Dec 2021

•Conducted web scraping of a mental health website to extract two real-time datasets for analysis of COVID data in USA.

•Imported them using both MongoDB and PostgreSQL to perform data pruning thus enabling comprehensive analysis of eliminating the need to re-run queries or additional steps.

REVIEW SPAM DETECTION USING ML July 2019 – Sep 2019

•Developed a statistical model for webpage feature calculation by implementing the "Bags of Words" approach. The model was applied to real user data, resulting in a significant improvement in the overall quality of entity recognition. The accuracy was increased by 17%, and errors were reduced by 30%.

•Contributed to the "Linguistic Authentication" project by using machine learning regression techniques on converted vectors to detect potential fraudulent identities. Achieved a high rate of detection on the test set with a score of 97%.
