Sales Associate and Greeter. Bealls Outlet. Decatur, AL from November 2022 to January 2024. I promoted the company’s products through excellent customer service. I welcomed customers, guided, and answered their questions, and insured the customer had a pleasant experience. Additional responsibilities included:

• Promoting special sales, credit card opportunities, and information and awareness of the Bealls’ loyalty program.

As Senior Pastor of Highland Drive Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Jonesboro, AR – from January 2010 through October 2017, I performed regular pastoral duties as outlined in:

• The Confession of Faith for Cumberland Presbyterians, Memphis 1984.

• The Design of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Louisville 1968.

• The Book of Common Worship, Pastoral Edition all of which includes preparing sermons by researching and writing about how to present sermons and Bible lessons to the congregation to meet their spiritual needs. Officiating at special occasions in the lives of the congregation, such as confirmations, weddings, baptisms, and funerals. Helping the church ministry by attending to administrative duties and providing counseling and congregational care.

As an Administrator, who completed graduate and post-graduate education degrees at MTS, I served MTS from July 2007 through January 2017 as:

• Director of Student Recruiting.

• Director of Financial Leadership for Ministry. Facilitator for the Spiritual Direction Leadership Program.

• Adjunct Professor of Congregational Care.

As an Emergency 911 Services Operations and Command Center Supervisor, I served in Waukegan, IL from January 1979 through 1986; Norfolk, VA from January 1986 through March 1993; Morgan County Central Dispatch (Decatur, AL) from March 1993 through July 2007.

My primary role was to help save lives and property. I became a master of multitasking serving as a vital link between first responders and the community. I fielded multiple calls, activating crews and relaying information to multiple agencies including law enforcement, firefighters, and emergency medical services, along with other first responders who could provide initial medical advice to a caller. I learned effective communication skills and the ability to balance of workloads and resources. I gauged the seriousness of an incident and sent help. My understanding of emergency customer service, and the required resources for response, forms the basis for how I understand and employ customer service as a servant leader. I also served as a Critical Incident Stress Debriefer (CISD). CISD is a process through which a facilitator helps a group of emergency responders work through their response to a highly critical, stressful, or traumatic event usually involving a multi-agency response. CISD is a form of crisis intervention aimed at reducing the traumatic impact of an event by fostering a connection between people who went through the same experience, increasing effective coping, and trauma education after the stressful event.
